Preface
This collection of poems aims to soothe and cool the agitated mind and
tries to draw various conclusions from the vicissitudes of life. The
emphasis is on preservation of Indian thought which sets four goals;
piety, prosperity, pleasure and liberation; to be achieved in life. The
positive outlook of the Veda, the rationalistic approach of Vedanta and
the utilitarian flavour of the Gita are themselves visible in this
collection.
Poetry is often not erected on the foundation of rationality yet fables
overshadowing the pearl of truth lead us to nowhere. Therefore, effort
has been made to blend scientific temper into the main theme wherever
necessary. I hope this collection is prepared, because of this, to face
any rigorous and analytical screening that would be done in the distant
future.
